Working downtown I am constantly checking out the food truck offerings. There are some really interesting options being offer through a window cut into the side of a box truck. My interest was piqued when I heard about Stoked Wood Fired Pizza Company. I strolled on down to Dewey Sq. to see what it was all about.

The most frequent question I get from my co-workers is, “Where can we get a decent slice around here?” That question is actually more difficult than one would think. Most places offering up pie in the financial district come from your typical lunch spot. Open for breakfast and lunch, pumping out mediocre food to feed the masses.

After many failed attempts, longtime friend Sir Al of Wenham and I were finally able to meet up for lunch at Slate Bar and Grill located in the financial district on High Street in Boston. This place screams Thirsty Thursdays with an elegant long bar that is packed to the gills with alcohol. They also feature an impressive craft beer selection.
